Médiathèque IFI is part of Institut Français d'Indonésie (IFI) Jakarta, a cultural center dedicated to promoting French language, arts, and contemporary culture.
PDS H.B. Jassin has been an important part of Indonesian literary history for a long time. It started from the literary collection of H.B. Jassin, a well-known Indonesian literary figure, and later became a documentation center from many Indonesian writers.
After a major modernization, the space now combines a library, media center, auditorium, learning spaces, and interactive facilities in one welcoming environment.
The space is spacious, and comfortable, and has many seating areas across several floors. Whether you are a student, a worker, a parent with children, or just someone who wants to spend time around books, this library is an easy and enjoyable place to visit.

Space Area
Main Médiathèque
Modern reading and co-working space designed for reading, studying, discussion, and cultural exploration.
Médiathèque IFI is located within the Institut Français d'Indonésie building on Jl. M.H. Thamrin in the Menteng area of Central Jakarta. After arriving at IFI Jakarta, you make your way into the main Médiathèque space, but before reaching the reading and activity zones, you'll pass through the entrance and registration area first.
Auditorium
A professional cinema auditorium with 180 seats, high-quality projection, and 5.1 surround sound used for screenings, festivals, and performances.
Language Learning Spaces
French language classrooms and learning facilities used for courses, workshops, and educational activities.
Gaming & Media Area
Interactive media collection featuring PlayStation consoles, Nintendo Switch, VR equipment, iPads, and board games.
Member Spaces
Exclusive facilities including karaoke and cinema rooms available to members.
IFI Cultural Center
A multidisciplinary cultural venue where literature, cinema, visual arts, music, and language programs come together.
